The 3rd Annual Highlands Massey Classic Golf Tournament is set to take place on Thursday, September 11, 2008, at The Country Club at The Highlands in Chesterfield, Virginia. A pre-tournament dinner and auction will be held on Wednesday night (see Sponsor/Player Opportunities). The Highlands Massey Classic (formerly Swing for the Cure) benefits The VCU-Massey Cancer Center in Richmond, Virginia. This special fundraising event is dedicated to the eradication of cancer through research, education and treatment.

One of every two men, and one of every three women will be diagnosed with some form of cancer in their lifetimes. To date The Highlands Fund has donated over $350,000 to the VCU-Massey Cancer Center. With your donation, Massey will continue to make strides in the fight against cancer. All of the monies raised on behalf of Massey Cancer Center stay right here in Richmond to the benefit of all Virginians.

The Highlands-Massey Classic has added two exciting events to this year's fundraising effort. A Bridge Tournament will be held on Thursday, September 4 at the Country Club at The Highlands and a 5K Fun Run/Walk will be held on Saturday, September 13th. Please visit these sites for more information.
