The 4th Annual Highlands Massey Classic Golf Tournament took place on Thursday, September 10, 2009, at The Country Club at The Highlands in Chesterfield, Virginia. A pre-tournament dinner and auction was held on Wednesday, September 9, 2009 (see Sponsor/Player Opportunities). The Highlands Massey Classic benefits The VCU-Massey Cancer Center in Richmond, Virginia. This special fundraising event is dedicated to the eradication of cancer through research, education and treatment.

One of every two men, and one of every three women will be diagnosed with some form of cancer in their lifetimes. To date The Highlands Massey Fund has donated $860,000 to the VCU-Massey Cancer Center. With your donation, Massey will continue to make strides in the fight against cancer. All of the monies raised on behalf of Massey Cancer Center stay right here in Richmond to the benefit of all Virginians.

The Highlands-Massey Classic 5K Run/Walk was held on Saturday, October 3, 2009 and the Bridge Tournament was held on Monday, October 5, 2009 at the Country Club at The Highlands. A new event, The Highlands-Massey Classic Christmas House Tour, will be held on Sunday, December 13, 2009, from 1:00 – 4:00 PM. An English Tea will be held at The Country Club at The Highlands from 4:00-5:30. A collection of vendors will be on hand to offer many wonderful items for Christmas shopping.
