5K Run/Walk

The Highlands-Massey Classic 5K Run/Walk will be held in Saturday, October 3, 2009 at The Highlands. The race will start and end at The Highlands Sales Center.  

Time Race starts at 8:00 am. Registration from 6:30-7:30 am. Packets will be available for all pre-registered entrants. 

Age Groups All age groups encouraged to run or walk. Ribbons will be given for the following: 1 st, 2 nd & 3 rd place for Male and Female; 1 st, 2 nd, & 3 rd place for Male and Female under 14.

Entry $20.00 for adults, $10.00 per child 6-14 years – 5 years and under walk free.

Registration Deadline September 25.

One out of every two men and one out of every three women will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetimes. We have all been impacted by this disease in some manner. Federal funding has declined in the past several years leaving private funding to fight this battle that affects us all. Massey Cancer Center is in the top 5% of all cancer centers in the US. All monies raised on behalf of Massey stay right here in Richmond. If your scheduling does not permit participation in the 5K run this year, please consider a donation of $25.00 in honor of someone you know had been affected by this disease.
